Price
If price is going to influence how much you pay for a Pace Note book then my books are priced extremely well against other books supposed to be specially designed for the job. The only other option is an ordinary note book one buys at the newsagent. These are far from adequate. If you consider the other expenses that go into preparing a car and team then the cost of a decent Pace Note book should not be too much of a problem.
Features
These are the dimensions and specifications of the book.
The standard number of pages in the book is 70.
Overall size 200mm wide x 250mm deep.
Paper Colour is off white.
Printed in light blue ink.
Feint ruled into:- 6 main rows 23 mm deep with 2 rows in between Ruled at 8 mm intervals
13 mm gap between main rows
20 mm column on left hand side
Printed on the top of each page: Stage, Page.
Front Cover printed with Date, Rally, Leg Number, SS Number, SS Name, Driver, Co-Driver.
The back cover is a very ridged coated cardboard, this provides enough support, no need to have anything else on your lap while writing notes.
Unlike other books supposed to be designed for pace noting.
Binding: Spiral plastic binder.
To re-arrange your notes into the order that you need them after Recce, just straighten out the top end of the spring and unwind it from book.
Because the spring is a large diameter the job becomes easy.
Much better than note books purchased from the stationary shop!
Because the spring is solid plastic it holds it's shape, can be manipulated by hand and it wont go rusty either!
The large diameter of the spring along with the specially designed spacing for the punched holes allows the pages to be turned over easily and they fold back completely allowing the co-driver to hold the book with both hands as if it were closed.
Usually ONE of these books is quite adequate for a round of the Australian Championship.
One book per day would normally be enough for a round of the WRC or most International events.
